Biography

Dr. Simone Brennan serves as the Associate Director for Education in the Kado Clinical Skills Center. She has over 30 years of experience working in medical education, research and health education. In her current position, Dr. Brennan is responsible for quality assurance of educational programs in Kado, guaranteeing alignment with National best practices and that programs are designed to optimize students’ training as future physicians.

Prior to her current position, Dr. Brennan worked as an Academic Advisor at the SOM, supporting student learning across the curriculum as well as USMLE Step prep. Additionally, she has served in earlier educational / management leadership roles in the Kado Clinical Skills Center, as well worked on a number of clinical and population health research studies and health education interventions at WSU-SOM, Karmanos, and the State of Michigan.

Dr. Brennan enjoys learning about people and cultures. She loves her family and friends, the city of Detroit, making stupid puns and lifelong learning. Her favorite word is parsimonious, which, (ironically), she is not.
